Anya Romanenko

      Anya Romanenko was born in Ukraine. She received her formal training at the Repin Fine Art College in Kharkov, Ukraine where she studied drawing, painting and composition. Anya also has a Bachelors Degree in Architecture from the Kharkov Engineering University. Anya has continued her fine art studies at the Sheridan College in Canada, taking various visual and computer arts courses.

      Anya has worked in the field of book illustration and card design. Most recently, Anya illustrated two children’s books by Ken Pointer (Ralph my tale... and “Emily and Me”). She has also created various CD covers for the Canadian pianist, Clark Brian.
      Anya is deeply involved in fine arts education for children.

      She has worked with the Toronto Public School Board providing in class art instruction and provides private art lessons to young people.
      When painting Anya uses many different media, such as water color, oil, acrylic, and graphite as well as pen and ink.
      Anya’s favorite subject matter is children and still life. Her whimsical style appears almost three-dimensional as she captures the playfulness of her subjects.

Anya’s paintings are displayed in private collections around the world and several art galleries in Canada, the United States, Ukraine, Russia, and France.
      Anya’s art work has also been used to create a brochure as well as numerous advertisements from Matthews Hall Private School, located in London, Ontario.
